WEATHER: Camp is still held regardless of weather conditions. If there is inclement weather we have activities in a sheltered area. Summer camp is conducted during hurricane season; if we are forced to close due to hurricane conditions, there will be no refund. If the center is closed for something unforeseen, we will contact each parent/guardian with the phone number or email address provided.

RED TIDE: Red Tide is not uncommon in our area. Camp is still held in red tide conditions as long as our beach and facility remain open. If your child has a medical condition that makes them unable to participate in camp due to red tide, a refund will only be given if a doctor’s note is provided. If the sailing center is forced to shut down a credit will be issued that is applicable towards any of the services CCSC provides.

CAMPER SATISFACTION: We offer various exciting activities for our campers. However, we cannot always guarantee that your child will enjoy our program. If your child does not like camp for any reason, please contact the front office as soon as possible. Remember: The objective of camp is to safely go sailing and have fun.

DISMISSAL FROM CAMP: In order to provide a positive experience for all of our campers, the camp reserves the right to dismiss campers whose behavior, in the opinion of the Camp Director, is detrimental to the camp community. A parent/guardian will be notified of any problems in camp before dismissal occurs and the problem may be resolved with possible suspension only. If the Camp Director feels that this is not possible due to circumstances, then immediate dismissal may result. It will be the parent’s responsibility to pick up the child. There will be NO REFUNDS for dismissal.

DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY: It is your responsibility to repair or replace any damage of program equipment that is attributed to your child’s reckless or irresponsible behavior.

ACTIVITY, STAFF, LOCATION CHANGES: We make every effort to adhere to the planned activities, activity locations, and schedules. Sometimes, however, events beyond our control necessitate changes, which cannot be predicted beforehand. Accordingly, the camp reserves the right to make activity, staff, and program location changes at its discretion without limitation or prior notice. There will be no refunds, credits, or tuition reductions should any such change(s) occur.

REFUND POLICY: Cancellations 0-14 days prior to the program will NOT receive a refund.  Camp reservation dates are transferable with a $25.00 fee per change per child per session. If you need to transfer your child’s camp session, we cannot guarantee a space will be available on another date. To change any reservation please email office@clearwatercommunitysailing.org or contact the front office (727) 517-7776. In the event that camp is rescheduled, postponed or canceled by CCSC refunds will not be given. Any cancellations under such circumstances will be given a credit for a future summer camp session and the $25.00 transfer fee will be waived.

SCHEDULE CHANGES: NO rescheduling missed days under any circumstances. Although we make every effort to accommodate absent campers, we do not make up missed days.

VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteers play a vital role in making sure our summer camp program is run smoothly. They allow for our instructors to focus making sure the kids are having fun, learning, and being safe. They are asked to do a number of things such as setting up tow lines, helping the kids rig boats, fill up water coolers, and other various tasks surrounding camp.

If you are interested in volunteering for our summer camp program you must first fill out a volunteer application. If accepted, you will be scheduled as needed.

Applications need to be emailed to Macy Parke at masonlindsay06@gmail.com or turned into the front office by May 1st, 2024 in order to be accepted.
